FACIAL HYPERHIDROSIS

Facial hyperhidrosis is probably one of the most annoying conditions known to man. It is a condition where an individual sweat excessively from the face. The main reason why it’s so frustrating is because your face is exposed at all times and you can’t very well cover up the area like you can with your underarms for example. Sweating is a natural process, especially in situations of extreme heat, embarrassment, fright or stress. The body developed sweat to cool down the body and to regulate its temperature. Certain foods also cause you to sweat, you may have some sort of reaction to the foods or they might just be slightly too spicy. However certain individuals sweat profusely for no reason at all and at any time of day. In these circumstances the individual should seek professional help in order to contain and mange the condition.

There are various treatments and products designed to reduce and ultimately eliminate the effects of facial hyperhidrosis. This however is slightly tricky as the sweating doesn’t only occur to the face but also the neck and scalp. For men it can be easier than woman, since shaving the area is a highly effective non-surgical method. Your hair builds up a lot of heat that will automatically trigger even more sweating, and if you’re able to shave your scalp not only is it cooler but you can also apply antiperspirant to prevent the sweating. This however is not an option for most woman and can become incredibly frustrating. With long hair antiperspirant can still be applied in the neck area, especially in instances with woman with long hair.

Botox ( Botulinum toxin) is also a highly popular method in reducing the effects of facial hyperhidrosis. However it’s not an approved treatment for the condition and only last for a certain period of time, which forces you to come back time and time again for another injection. These can become quite pricy and isn’t highly recommended by beauty consultant or medical physicians.
