The Causes of and Treatments on How to Cure Hyperhidrosis

The human body is covered with millions of little sweat glands. Every person sweats, especially in situations of extreme heat, embarrassment and stress, however there are individuals who sweat excessively and thus suffer from a condition called hyperhidrosis. There are various treatments available to cure hyperhidrosis, but first you should understand what causes it. Some of the major causes of this syndrome are;

  • One of the main results of hyperhidrosis is night sweats. Night sweats can occur for various reasons including bronchitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, and rheumatism.
  • An imbalance in the endocrine system or the neurological system is also a major cause. These are usually due to woman going through hormonal changes or during menopause.
  • Problems in the cortex or hypothalamus of your brain can also cause excessive sweating to occur.
  • Hyperhidrosis occurs in different parts of the body including the feet, palms, underarms, scalp, face, and more. The causes can vary, and therefore so can the treatments.

If you suspect that you are in fact suffering from hyperhidrosis there’s no point in hiding it. So many individuals are ashamed of the condition and try to hide it best they can. Here are a few treatments to consider when you want to cure hyperhidrosis;

  • Botox isn’t only effective in creating a more youthful appearance. Several injections Botox will also work effectively in blocking the nerves that produces sweat.
  • Electrical stimulation is also a popular way to cure hyperhidrosis. This is mostly applicable to individuals who sweat excessively from the hands or feet. The body part is placed in a container with water with an electrical current passing through. This short circuits the nerves that stimulated the sweat glands.
  • A home remedy that is also known to be effective is by adding is mixture of baking soda and cornstarch to the equation. Apply it to the problem area and let it try for about half an hour. This absorbs the moisture and dries out the area for a certain amount of time.
