Another one of The Melrose Aesthetic Centre’s satisfied clients is currently undergoing a series of laser treatments to remove a scar that she’s had since childhood.  The scar is the product of surgery to her mouth and it’s been bothering her for many years.  Knowing that scar removal sometimes requires a few successive treatments, she was aware that it wasn’t going to happen overnight, but is extremely happy with her results so far. She’s noticed a remarkable reduction in the scar size and visibility. Family and friends have also noticed a vast improvement and she describes herself as “much more confident and sociable”.

Just like Picasso is known for his art, Bill Gates for his technological innovations, Audrey Hepburn is seen as an icon of her time, Dr Gordon Cohen is known for his brilliant skills and knowledge in aesthetic procedures. I am officially a size 36 and Dr Cohen is Heaven sent!
 
For the majority of my life I have been a size 40 – at times bordering on 44.  Any diet or slimming programme you can think of – just know that I have tried it!  Sadly none of these reaped the desired results and were unsustainable. 
 
So when I came across The Melrose Aesthetic Centre site, I was excited but equally apprehensive of whether I wasn’t wasting money on a profound desire to be a 36 – an aspiration that had proved to be a fantasy for such a long time … until recently.  My angst also stemmed from the fear of setting myself up for grave disappointment which would often be followed by a session or two of devouring bars of chocolate (note the plural) to console myself over another failed attempt to lose weight.
 
In the past few weeks, I have been on the most transformational and pleasant journey.
 
Literally each week I would notice that my clothes became looser.  Family, friends and colleagues would habitually comment on how well I was progressing. 
 
And the splendour of the journey was that it wasn’t even a challenge or a chore to follow the eating plan.  Even my meal portions have naturally reduced.  As I no longer eat as much as I used to, my recent unease is that I may no longer be able to eat a three course meal. Isn’t that a special concern to have?
