When I started noticing the little tell-tale signs of ageing, I decided to take immediate action.  I went to see Dr Gordon Cohen from The Melrose Aesthetic Centre who suggested a laser treatment to reduce the fine lines and “crepeing” around my eyes.  With all the horror stories about laser treatments often featured in the media, it took me a while to finally build up the courage to undergo the treatment.  I was nervous and more than a bit apprehensive, but after much contemplation decided to go ahead with the procedure.
Well, I needn’t have been the slightest bit worried…
The actual procedure was uneventful and I slept right through – I wasn’t aware of a thing.  The aftercare was very easy and I was even able to shave the next morning.  I hardly noticed the downtime – I remained indoors for two days and was back at work on the third day. 
I experienced no pain during the procedure or during the healing process – only minimal discomfort and dryness, but by keeping my skin moisturized during the day, even the slight bit of discomfort was greatly reduced. 
My face was red for about 10 days, but the final result was well worth it. 
I am delighted with the results, the fine lines around my eye area are gone and my skin texture is greatly improved.  It has been 8 months since the treatment and I’ve found that the results are even more noticeable now.  I am much more aware of using sun protection and use it daily, even while indoors.  I would highly recommend this laser treatment to anybody who wishes to regain a glowing, youthful, wrinkle-free appearance.

“Dear Dr Cohen,

I’m only two weeks into the Detox and “Wellness” programme but I have to thank you for changing my life in many ways you do not know.

If you can recall the day I walked into your office, I mentioned my reason I joined your programme was firstly because of health and loosing the weight will follow.  What I hadn’t mentioned, was that I was actually a depressed 42 year old grandmother of two, mother of 4 kids, who was on the verge of seeing a therapist, as I could not cope with the rejection of my eldest son.  I do still shed a tear, however I’ve come to realize how important what you eat and exercising is to a person emotionally too and I can now look/take it as it comes, step by step.
