Khanyi Mbau recently underwent a series of treatments at The Melrose Aesthetic Centre which were very prominently featured in print and TV media, such as The Real Goboza on SABC 1, Heat Magazine and True Love magazine. 
Khanyi wrote to us about her experience at The Melrose Aesthetic Centre: “I have a relatively well-shaped nose, but I wanted a bit more definition on my bridge. I decided to undergo a non-surgical rhinoplasty procedure – there is no cutting involved and only tissue fillers are used to change the shape of your nose. I liked the idea because the results aren’t permanent and the treatment not as traumatic as a surgical procedure. Initially I was a bit concerned that it might be painful but I needn’t have worried. The treatment is such a party-trick – it was over before I knew and I instantly had a better shaped nose! Khanyi also underwent a body-sculpting procedure called Laser Lipolysis, performed by Dr Cohen. Regarding this treatment she had the following to say:
“I have a very busy schedule and don’t always have time for gym. Having a few swim wear shoots coming up, I wanted to shape my thighs and decided to undergo the Laser Lipo procedure. “We have both picked up so much weight and our middle daughter is getting married in November so this motivated us to do something about it. 
We have been blown away by the amazing results, first with the weight loss program (which is quick, easy, no hunger pangs – must add that the supplements are a must). Regarding Laser Lipo, the procedure was better than expected. The time flew passed and we were comfortable through the whole procedure. We where handled with love, respect and assured and informed continually through the procedure.  Wonderfully surprised.  Would we do it again? – absolutely.
The compliments do not stop. First on how much weight we have lost and also at how good we are looking.  Everyday we can see an improvement in our bodies. 
Initially we had a few concerns:  We where worried about how much pain we would endure during the procedure; how long we would  be uncomfortable, bruised, and swollen after the procedure, etc.  We had our daughter’s 21st birthday party 10 days after the op, no-one knew a thing. Naturally we’ve made a few lifestyle changes after undergoing the procedure:  Our EATING firstly.  We feel so much better when eating healthy.  Our sleeping habits are much improved and we wake up ready to start the day. A testimonial from a client who had suffered from severe acne for most of her life…

I had moderate to severe acne from my young teens. I thought that I would outgrow it by my early 20’s, but once I had finished university at the age of 23, I realised it wasn’t going to happen. I decided I was going to take serous action to clear my acne and improve my skin’s condition. I subsequently tried various face products for a few months and my skin didn’t improve, in fact it was getting worse. I then decided I would go to The Melrose Aesthetic Centre to see what could be done.

Initially I was worried that the doctors might recommend that I go on roaccuatine or the pill. I was pleasantly surprised to find these were not prescribed for me and that there are other effective options. I was also very comfortable with Dr Cohen – I felt that he really knew what he was talking about and that he would be able to sort my skin out.

My hope was that I could clear all my acne for good and then also clear all the pigmentation and indented scars. I haven’t completed my treatment yet, but have been undergoing treatments for about 4 months. My skin is greatly improved – I would say at this stage my acne has cleared up about 85% and is progressively getting better. Now that I am at this level I can begin to undergo treatment for the scarring. I look forward to seeing the results!

I was very unhappy with my rolls and bulging stomach, so I had to find a solution.
I decided to undergo the Laser Lipolysis treatment at The Melrose Aesthetic Centre as I had tried everything from gym, passive exercise machines and diets and found that nothing worked.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the treatment, but I never had any concerns as I knew I was in very capable hands. Dr Cohen is an absolute perfectionist and very professional.
The final result of the treatment is absolutely amazing and beyond my wildest dreams. I feel great and comments from my family and friends include that I’ve lost a ton of weight and that I look amazing and very sexy. I can wear fitted clothes without being self conscious and I have a beautiful, flat stomach. Apart from the physical transformation, the treatment has done wonders for my self confidence. I am proud and very happy with the way I look.
The team at The Melrose Aesthetic Centre are very hands on and great people to deal with. Dr Cohen is always available to his patients and the concern and care given prior to, during and following the procedure was absolutely fantastic.
