Dermabrasion

How Dermabrasion Can Help You Achieve Younger Looking Skin

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get rid of our top layer of skin and start with a newer, fresher and younger looking skin instantly? Well, it is possible thanks to a treatment called dermabrasion.

This modern treatment is popular, not only because it is so effective, but also because it is so affordable. The treatment should be done by a professional in the skincare industry and it is very important that the skin is properly cleansed and disinfected before the dermabrasion can commence.

By using a handheld device consisting of a rough surface, the skincare professional removes the top layer of your skin. Although dermabrasion causes your skin to be red and sensitive afterwards, you will grow a new layer of skin within days.

Dermabrasion can be used to remove:

  • Tattoos
  • Scars
  • Wrinkles

Some people make use of this type of treatment to get rid of dead cells on their skin. By undergoing a dermabrasion treatment, the skin is exfoliated on a much deeper level than any over the counter or at home exfoliation remedy can achieve. Exfoliated skin appears more youthful and won’t have that dull complexion.

Often survivors of car accidents are left with horrible scars that are visible to other people. These scars can be a horrible reminder of the accident or have a negative effect on your appearance and life. Dermabrasion is a wonderful way to treat these scars. The deeper or bigger the scar, the more sessions will be needed. Although the treatments can take a long time, they are effective and you will be able to see a visible difference.

Cosmelan – the solution to hyper-pigmentation

A client writes about her problem with pigmentation and how Cosmelan depigmenation treatment changed her life.

“I have been struggling with hyper-pigmentation for over 20 years and have tried many topical creams in an attempt to lighten my pigmented skin.  This was to no avail.
I looked at before-and-after images on the internet of people who had undergone the Cosmelan treatment and I decided to give it a try – hoping for a similar result. I booked an appointment at The Melrose Aesthetic Centre where one of the very competent practitioners applied the mask.  After just 7 days there was a 50% improvement and after 6 weeks the brown patches had disappeared. I am over the moon with the results.
There is a marked difference in my complexion, so my friends who knew what I was having done were thrilled and those who didn’t, asked what I’d started using.
My initial concern was that the treatment wouldn’t work – like so many of the other treatments and products I had tried, but I had researched the product on the net quite a bit and was comfortable with the information.
Previously, I would never leave home without foundation.  Never.  I used Coverderm.  Great product, but those who have used it, would know that it is rather thick.  I am now able to use only a light, regular foundation and have no problem leaving home without any foundation.  Only those who have pigmentation will relate to how fabulous this is.
I recommend Cosmelan without a moment’s hesitation.”

The Various Anti-ageing Treatment Options Available

Along with the advancement of medical science is the evolution of more effective and safer surgical and non-surgical solutions to reverse the effects of ageing. Various anti-ageing treatments have been developed to address or slow down the rate of the ageing process.

Along with the advent of laser technology as well as natural and holistic approaches to maintain youthfulness, the awareness of anti-ageing treatment methods has exponentially increased.

Surgical anti-ageing treatment refers to the nips, tucks and other surgical alterations. Perhaps the most affordable and simplest anti-ageing treatment would be the regular use of anti-ageing creams, lotions, masks and gels. Botox injections can smoothen and visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
