Khanyi Mbau visits The Melrose Aesthetic Centre

Khanyi Mbau recently underwent a series of treatments at The Melrose Aesthetic Centre which were very prominently featured in print and TV media, such as The Real Goboza on SABC 1, Heat Magazine and True Love magazine.
Khanyi wrote to us about her experience at The Melrose Aesthetic Centre: “I have a relatively well-shaped nose, but I wanted a bit more definition on my bridge. I decided to undergo a non-surgical rhinoplasty procedure – there is no cutting involved and only tissue fillers are used to change the shape of your nose. I liked the idea because the results aren’t permanent and the treatment not as traumatic as a surgical procedure. Initially I was a bit concerned that it might be painful but I needn’t have worried. The treatment is such a party-trick – it was over before I knew and I instantly had a better shaped nose! According to my Facebook fan-page I look like a picture of perfection and my Twitter-following has tripled. I would recommend this treatment to anybody. Your nose defines your face after all!”

Khanyi also underwent a body-sculpting procedure called Laser Lipolysis, performed by Dr Cohen. Regarding this treatment she had the following to say:
“I have a very busy schedule and don’t always have time for gym. Having a few swim wear shoots coming up, I wanted to shape my thighs and decided to undergo the Laser Lipo procedure. I must admit that I was a bit sceptical at first. I was scared about the possible pain involved and also whether I would see any difference afterwards. Once again, my fears were unfounded. I knew I would see change but I didn’t know there would be such a remarkable difference so soon! My following on Faceb

Laser Lipo

Over time, skin loses elasticity and gains laxity. This could be due to ageing or excessive weight gain or loss. Laser lipo uses lasers to liquefy the fat before it is removed, making it easier to vacuum out via liposuction. Lasers may also stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which results in firmer, tighter and smoother skin.

The effectiveness of fat drainage during and after treatment is dependent on correct functioning of the lymphatic system, which is responsible for getting rid of wastes from the body. Lasers coagulate small blood vessels in the area, which translates to less bruising. You can take up normal activities directly after, as the laser lipo is totally non-evasive with no downtime.

Male and female clients have found that those hard to reduce trouble spots, such as love handles, saddlebags, and tummy bulge can be treated quite significantly within a couple of laser lipo treatments.

The laser lipo technique uses lasers to melt fat prior to its removal from the body. The liquidated fat is much easier to remove so the need for harsh suction is reduced. There are two types of laser lipo: internal and external. With external laser lipo, the laser is used outside the patient’s body before the surgery begins. With internal laser lipo, the laser is attached to the cannula (the suction device).

The addition of a laser to the liposuction table has several benefits. For example, the laser stimulates the natural production of collagen, helping to tighten the skin and reduce post-surgical sagging. Laser lipo also cauterises ruptured blood vessels to reduce bleeding and bruising.

With all of these advancements to the ways that surgeons remove fat from our bodies, it’s easy to see why laser lipo is becoming increasingly popular in both men and women from all walks of life. It’s now so easy to remove excess fat and give yourself the body you’ve always wanted with laser lipo.

Body Sculpting & Cellulite

Body Sculpting – Lipolysis And Laser Lipolysis

Lipolysis is a procedure where there is a breakdown of fat that is stored in fat cells, which means melting down of fat in the body through injections without any procedure. This type of body sculpting (lipolysis and laser lipolysis) works for spot reduction of fat.

body sculptingGetting rid of fat seems an impossible task, but with the advancement in science, there are ways we can do something about it. Body sculpting (lipolysis and laser lipolysis) is the new term used to describe cosmetic surgery that is intended to change a person’s body contours.

As more women and men want to feel better about themselves, body sculpting (lipolysis and laser lipolysis) continue to grow in popularity. Laser lipolysis is the first and only laser-assisted lipolysis system. A tube is inserted into the skin and moved back and forth causing the fat cells to rupture and easily drain away.

Getting Rid Of Cellulite

laser lipolysisCellulite isn’t a dangerous condition, but it is embarrassing. It’s very common among adult women and getting rid of cellulite might seem impossible.

It might be that you are not overweight at all, but still have cellulite deposits. If that’s the case, you might want to try the ionithermie body treatment method. This method employs thermal clay combined with electrical impulses and specially made pad that will help you with getting rid of cellulite.

Going on a home detox diet, avoiding junk food and processed foods, drinking lots of water, getting enough sleep, and brushing your skin daily are all ways to help you get rid of cellulite.

Laser Lipo and Detox programme – a winning combination!

“I was taking strain with excess weight in my running (I compete in ½ marathons) and I thought that less weight would improve my running times.  The outcome of both the Detox & Wellness programme and the Laser Lipolysis treatment exceeded my expectation of results by far.  The healing process after Laser Lipo is very quick and I am still loosing weight on the Detox & Wellness programme.  My friends have noticed a definite visible slimness and family say I look great.
I highly recommend these treatments for the targeting of problem areas”.
